Capitol
The Old Capitol is a building with a warp that was damaged during The Raid. It was originally Fin's base in Season 1; he renovated the old Capitol building of Cuba, making it his base. This particular iteration was copied by Ætérnal during the changeover to Season 2. After Fin went on an extended hiatus, it was left abandoned until The Raid.
History
Season 1
The Capitol was remodeled by Fin. It took over a month, and was never entirely finished. The first floor lobby and roof cafe were both left unfinished.
Changeover
During the changeover from Season 1, several Cubans stored their excess belongings in their mailboxes on the fourth floor. The Capitol was copied on a small stony shore surrounded on all other sides by a jungle, overlooking the sea southeast of what is now Xtrakva. It was the southernmost structure copied from Season 1.
Due to the fact all copies had to be rectangular, Suqi's bakery was also copied. This resulted in the first border dispute of Season 2.[1]
Season 2
Fin continued to play on the server for at least a day into Season 2. However, due to lack of interest and the extreme distance to any other players, he eventually quit playing. He last logged off at 3:28 PM MDT on 10 January 2022.[2] The only change he made to the Capitol was leaving 3 copper blocks out to oxidize.
The Raid
Due to the Capitol having a warp, it was targeted by the raid. However, due to its distance from Spawn and construction mainly out of concrete, it remained intact more than most Raided structures. The second floor storage was almost entirely destroyed, and the 3rd floor's library and floor were burned. Funnily enough, the burning of the 3rd floor necessitated a staircase to get to the 4th floor. The facade remained intact other than the 2 blocks that were broken to get in. The first and fourth floors and the roof were undamaged. The plaza was flooded by the remains of the water pillars from the Cuban Floating Farm. Suqi's bakery was also untouched.
Modern History
The Capitol does not have rail service to it, as it is abandoned. With the recopying of Cuba, there is a New Capitol, which makes the Capitol and the bakery the only structures to be duplicated on Season 2. Currently, the closest ŋation is Xtrakva. On August 18th, 2024, It received the second-lowest accessibility ranking from Szlanty, Officer of UŊESCO[3]. Later in September 2024 with donations from Villnark and digging work done by Szlanty and Šœ́hag[4], the Aquatic Line was extended to the Capitol with the station opening September 13th.[5] Later Fin did edits to the station itself, raising it to a higher position.
