Geography
Araçana’s territory primarily lies in the region known in Laevanaak as Mirgak, between the Ngasekaiv Sea to the north, the Mirtsho river to the east, and the Axiruho river to the south. The island of Ŋasegak is located north-northwest of the mainland, and is connected to Araçana proper by the Two-Flag Bridge. Most of the country is oak and birch forest biomes and plains biomes, but Ŋasegak is half-covered by a dark oak forest, and near the river separating Araçanni and Rktdavsimi territory, a small savannah is found. Araçana is considered by the United Ŋations Geoscheme to be located in the northern part of the continent Thasusa, and in the sub-region of Gesigak, along with its neighbors MápabaL, Enkavak, and Eltear.

Since October 12, 2025, Araçana has been occupied by the Kavakkorae, in response to the dissapearance of Outlaw Sly and the subsequent chaos.
On November 21, 2025, Outlaw Sly was inadvertantly discovered by a ferry travelling from Enkavak to Araçana, miraculously alive in a state of suspended animation on the floor of the Ŋasekaiv sea. She has been fully resuscitated, and is set to resume her governmental duties shortly.
Government

Monarchy
Araçana’s Princess[2] (Araçanic: Jaçan Prañhit, def. Ir-Açan Prañhit) is a wielder of supreme political influence, although ever since the writing of the Constitution, it comes only through her cultural importance. Contrary to its usual connotations, the title of Princess is not inherited by blood, rather a successor is found from among the people. They are trained religiously and politically by the Monarchical Council during the reign of the previous Princess. Due to the secrecy which these rituals are held under, as well as the undemocratic nature of the position, the continuation of the position has become more controversial in recent years. According to recent polling, the majority of Araçannis still positively view the Princess.[3]

The Pola Oçhuse
Araçana’s legislature is known as im-Pola Oçhuse in Araçanic, which is also its name in English. The name translates literally translates to "The Congress of Will" or "The Congress of Descision-Making." It is currently made up of 17 members (5 elected by the people of Ŋasegak, 7 elected by the people of Çana City province, and 5 elected by the people of Irgüya province), although this can and has changed at different times. Additionally, certain meetings deemed important by the Princess are attended by her, during which she may provide her counsel and judgement. However, as the reigning Princess is currently also the Mayor, this happens anyway for other reasons. (See below)
The Mayor
The Mayor of Araçana (Araçanic: i-Major) is elected by the Pola Oçhuse (Traditionally from within their own ranks, although this has never been a legal requirement). They are responsible for the executive function in government and are considered the commander of the Araçanni armed forces. Notably, the role of Mayor is also tasked with presiding over the Pola Oçhuse, and has always also been a voting member. If the Mayor ever were to be someone who was not a member of the Pola Oçhuse, they would still preside over their meetings without being granted a vote. As of 2025, Outlaw Sly, the Mayor of Araçana, is the same person as the Princess, an unprecedented situation.
Administrative Divisions
Araçana is divided into 3 constituent polities: Çana City province, which is the most populous region, Irgüya Province, which wraps around the south-west, south, and east of the country and is more rural, and Ŋasegak Special Governate, located on Ŋasegak island to the northwest. Ŋasegak’s status as a Special Governorate grants it its own Governor, as well as certain legislative autonomies.

Culture
Music
The Krisa, a 10-stringed instrument with a stretched membrane on the front like a banjo, is a symbol of Araçanni culture and is played in dance music. Instruments that often accompany the Krisa are the Saraç (a form of Serpent) and various Percussion instruments.
Cuisine
Rice is a staple crop of Araçana. Goats are cultivated for their meat and milk. Peanuts are important for Araçanni cuisine, being roasted and made into various sauces and soups.
Demographics
Religion
A plurality of the population practice Kahraism (From Thessama Kaꞧai, known in Araçanic as Kahe), which descends from traditions practiced in the Ŋasekaiv region as long as history records.
The world religion of Seholism finds one of its two main cultural centers in Araçana, in the Temple of the Moon there. The history of Seholism has been intertwined with that of Kahraism for a very long time, and so many concepts and characters from one tradition have counterparts in the other.
Languages
The official language of Araçana is Araçanic, in its standardized variety. Araçanic consists of a group of greatly differing dialects, of which the standard form is used for official matters. Additionally, a unique dialect of Yiddish is spoken by a significant minority of the population and is considered a recognized language. English is learned as a second language by many Araçanni people. (Meta: Another minority language is currently being developed in collaboration with another Nguhcord member, but the project is in Hiatus currently and will remain anonymous until after the project is restarted)

Araçana has one Cenrail station. The Olympic line stops there, in between Kozdenen and Zestōspiṓ, and the East Gulf Line does as well, between Eltear and Majamók’et. A Ghastport is also planned for Araçana, with 4 ghasts tamed, named, and ready to go. The G6 road passes through Ŋasegak into Araçana proper over the Two-Flag Bridge.

- ↑ Note that "Princess" is used in English due to the gender of the current one. If an equivalent to "Quing" is agreed upon by the Nguhcord community, I may decide to use that term instead.
