Manitarilant
Manitarilant is a chain of mushroom islands off the southwestern coast of the Land of Chaos in southeastern Archipelagia. The Manitarilant Sea surrounds the islands.
Geography
Manitarilant lies between the Land of Chaos, Archipelagia, and northern ʡeteria. The island chain itself is divided between Nsârre on the western three islands and Dróstsiśtsi on the eastern two. Administratively, it makes up the entirety of the country of Nsârre and the Manitarilant province of Dróstsiśtsi. The Manitarilant Sea also borders Stej Ven, Hiop Nation, Ruxese province of Dróstsiśtsi, and The Complex.
The main five islands of the chain are all mushroom islands, with some smaller islands of plains and forest along the coasts. Most of the sea is surrounded by continents, with the main passages being the Complex Channel in the southeast, the Stejvenni Channel in the southwest, and the Pelcach strait in the northeast. Rivers connecting to the Manitarilant Sea include the Ajamui and Cumocalu rivers in Dróstsiśtsi and the Kaoranga river.
History
The first recorded state in the region was Stej Ven, on the western coast, which also established a presence on the small island of Saiŋt Pierre and Ɱiqueloŋ. Coldba also had a small presence near Saiŋt Pierre and Ɱiqueloŋ, and Renoriba, which later became Pelcach, was entirely based in that region. The Aomoī-Kaervaenan Commonwealth and CMCic Federation also existed on the shores of the sea, but later dissolved.
The first claim on the island chain itself was Vilantnen, which claimed the entire msuhroom island chain, but did not develop a significant presence in the region. After Vilantnen abandoned it, the entire chain was then claimed by Dróstsiśtsi as the province of Manitarilant. Dróstsiśtsi later withdrew to only the eastern half of the chain, particularly the southeastern island, named Manitarilant Island, which became a noted outpost of the People's Navy of Dróstsiśtsi. After Dróstsiśtsi's withdrawal from the western islands, they established the state of Nsârre.
