Etymology
The word "kosht" comes directly from the Ukrainian word "кошти" (koshty, "money"). The word "pivkosht" comes directly from Ukrainian "півкошт" (literally half-kosht), and the word "shah" comes from the Ukrainian word "шаг", a predecessor to the modern Ukrainian kopiyka (subdivision of the hryvnia) and proposed successor, however this change has not been implemented yet.
