Kuzhgub Peninsula was unilaterally annexed by East Pua following the culmination of the Amujxplosion on October 8th 2024 and a minor dispute with Oressia involving Order No. 227 that same day. Following the annexation Kuzhgub Peninsula was declared the 10th federal subject of the FRP and named Kuzhgub Oblast.
