Cornertopia is a former continent, located in the south and the southeastern corner of the ŋorld and hosted 7 countries, 1 supraŋational territory, and >1 private territories before its final day on 23 January 2025. It was split in half into two continents, Tardigradia and [Unnamed Continent]. At the request of Zendrid, Citadel Island was to be transferred to the continent of Balloon World.

Tardigradia

On 22 January 2025, Suqi proposed a division of the Cornertopian continent, citing its massive size and easily confusable name with Corneria. They proposed it be divided in half because one half looked like a caterpillar, which made it easily visually distinguishable if a division were to be officialized, and also cute. They originally proposed the name Caterpillaria, but it was changed to Tardigradia due to its equal resemblance to a tardigrade and a majority support for the latter. Suqi collected responses from everyone officially known to be involved in the proposed-Tardigradian continent and received only supportive and neutral responses.

The involved persons who were requested permission are as follows:

• Fin, creator of The Capitol, who responded: This division is not how I'd divide it and also de jure UNgESCO is in charge of the Capitol.
• Elisa, Her Fishness of the Fishdom of Fishland, who responded: The fishdom finds this proposal needless and will thus allow the other states to sort it out
• Мока, Councilperson of the Anarchist Workers Republic of Corneria, who responded: I support the continental divide, despite corneria being in both projected continents lol

• Marcy, the one who... tends to be involved with the geoscheme, who responded:

• ẞlanty, an Officer of UŊESCO, supervising The Capitol, who responded: Neutral
• Total pleb, an Officer of UŊESCO, supervising The Capitol, who responded: Wouldn't be opposed lol
• Zendrid, the Mapmaker, who responded: i mean my preferences have nothing to do with it, i just map what others determine
• Xhesas, an Officer of UŊESCO, supervising The Capitol, who responded: I dont see why the size of a continent matters too much. If you do such a thing, the citadel Island should belong to baloon world. Also Marcy should decide in the end. And I am for the idea of Tarigrade, bc they are cute!
• Maarz, Leader of Gdaƨihr Ni̦xlo, who responded: Just bc I gtg to work now, I skimmed and as far as I understand I don’t mind either way

The lack of negative responses from everyone involved by 23 January allowed the continent to be officialized. However, the exact borders between the two new continents are currently being polled because of prior opposition to the borders provided by the original proposal.

Unnamed Continent

Now that Tardigradia was going to be a continent, Suqi called the attention of the remaining leaders of Cornertopian ŋations so that they could rename their new continent. This process is currently ongoing. Suqi avoided any input from themselves because they do not have any land in the new continent.
