The Great Chest Locking

The Great Chest Locking was a series of ŋations using locks to secure their storages after a series of thefts in February and March of 2025.

Thefts

Chillvana Thefts

In February of 2024, Astaryuu took 12 diamonds from the Chillvana Storage, mistakenly believing it to be public. Fin discovered the theft, and the items were returned with no consequences, as this was unintentional.

In March, Maria Papiliana was caught by Fin attempting to take soul sand from the Chillvana Storage. She was unable to locate it before Fin, having not gotten a response to telling Maria the storage was private, killed her.

Nostalgiabricks' Serial Burglary

On March 13 & 14, Nostalgiabricks took valuable items from a number of nations. These included rare ores, gems, armor, and even beacons. The theft was discovered on March 14th by Namnak Xhesas in Yija, and Ætérnal confirmed and confiscated the stolen goods.

He took a diamond chestplate from the Port of Eras, but Fin was able to figure it out because Nostalgiabricks had gotten the advancement "Cover Me In Diamonds" before getting the advancement "Diamonds!"

Villagers in Yija were let out, and the fletching tables were stolen. Yija's beacons were also stolen.

The storage building in Stej Ven was broken into, and rare ores as well as enchanted books and some other items were taken.

Loss of dignity.

The Kozdenen warehouse was also broken into; all valuables were taken, including all diamonds and ancient debris. A column of magenta wool was used to get back into the Cenrail station, which he subsequently tunnelled into due to not knowing where the entrance was.

Other items were also taken from the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen, including valuables.

Effects

Coldba (Cuba)

After the Chillvana Thefts, the Chillvana Storage was locked. This was the first Chest Locking in this wave of indcidents.

The Port of Eras

Fin also locked chests in his own ŋation as a response to a diamond chestplate being taken as part of the Nostalgiabricks incident.

Imerchal

Annwan declared their intent to lock the warehouse in Chalmòsique shortly after the Nostalgiabricks incident, despite not being a victim.

Kozdenen

Doge Peleṽa of Kozdenen declined to strengthen protections despite being a noteworthy victim of the theft, as locking all chests in the warehouse would neccessitate a complete restructuring of its storage system due to the use of hoppers. He also stated that the locked door of the warehouse should already serve as a deterrent for any reasonable individual.

Rauratoshan

Rauratoshan's business Underflow Storage started locking all their chests, with exception to one "donation bin" chest at every location, even though Rauratoshan wasn't stolen from. Additionally, a branch of the business for Remulapola was fast-tracked.

Stej Ven

Viklo had installed a locked door for the storage house in Sta Wejs ahead of Nostalgiabricks's visit on the 14th, due to the already known theft of a diamond chestplate that had happened in the Port of Eras. However, Nostalgiabricks still broke into the storage building by digging a tunnel, proving that a locked door is not enough. Because of this, Viklo decided to lock the chests in the storage building.

Monke Island

Following the Nostalgiabricks incident, Iris Moniridia, Governor of the Territory of Monke Island and head of the Grex Multiridianus, informed her headmates to lock their personal chests.
