\This article is a work-in-progress. It will be completed soon.
The United Ŋations (UŊ) creates laws for its member states to follow which do not apply to non-member states. Failure of member-states to enforce or abide by these laws may make them subject to punishment from the Interŋational Court of Justice (IŊCJ). A law may be proposed by UŊ member states by creating a legislative motion to https://www.nguh.org/ung which will be voted on in the following meeting. A law may be removed by a legislative motion as well.
Not that for all motions after 11 June 2024, the following bullet points apply to the wording of a motion (established 11 June 2024 with Motion 15.5).
- MUST: This word, or the terms "REQUIRED" or "SHALL", mean that the definition is an absolute requirement of the motion.
- MUST NOT: This phrase, or the phrase "SHALL NOT", mean that the definition is an absolute prohibition of the motion.
- SHOULD: this word, or the adjective "RECOMMENDED", mean that there may exist valid reasons in particular circumstances to ignore a particular item, but the full implications must be understood and carefully weighed before choosing a different course.
- SHOULD NOT: This phrase, or the phrase "NOT RECOMMENDED" mean that there may exist valid reasons in particular circumstances when the particular behavior is acceptable or even useful, but the full implications should be understood and the case carefully weighed before implementing any behavior described with this label.
- MAY: This word, the adverb "OPTIONALLY" or the adjective "OPTIONAL", mean that an item is truly optional. One may choose to include the item because a particular requirement or because the individual feels that it enhances the use while another may omit the same item.
