After an act of the Xarslasja Legislature in January 2025, a series of national forests were created in Xarslasja. In these areas, no construction or industrial activity would be permitted within 6 blocks of the surface.
Forests and Ecological Preserves
"National Forests" and "Ecological Preserves" both carry the same legal status. "Ecological Preserves" are simply areas comprised mostly of desert or swamp instead of proper forest. A "National Park" allows for trails and lighting to be placed, along with convenient parking for horses.
- Tonto National Forest, in Yuma County and Yavapai County
- contains Cave Creek National Park
- South Mountain Ecological Preserve, in Yuma County
- Coconino National Forest, in Coconino County and Santa Cruz County
- Gila River Ecological Preserve, in Gila County
- Ajo National Forest, in Gila County
- Verde Jungle National Forest, in Carefree Isles County
- features the Ngibraltar Floating Dirt National Park as an exclave
