Caluta was founded on October 30, 2025 in center-north Ŋafrica, bordering Reimusia and the Galagona Strait, as an absolute republic called Holy Republican Theocracy of Caluta. Jotlond and Maraśa have been early supporters of the country, while Marcy initially questioned its sovereignness[8].

Caluta also claimed the islands of Galagazaj and Iglisazaj, and a landstrip of the main island (later called Rena) on Zotazil, then recently dissolved due to consequences of the Maraśan Civil War.

In December 2025 Caluta became a State-corporation (sic: a corporation, posing as a State), Caluta, Incorporated.

On January 13, 2026, the State Union of Zajado and Rena (formerly South Zotazil) declared independence[9][4]. Caluta later withdrew the recognition.
