Hentzo /ˈ(h)ɛn.tsəw/ (Nohenààtza Hentzo /ˈhen.t͡so/), officially the Pirate Republic of Hentzo, is a one-party pirate republic located north of the Great Sea and north-east of Tantsang. The country is composed of 6 States of Hentzo as of 7/7/24. The country was governed by the late Rutinde I before their death through their Governors, who serve many official positions in the country.
History
Prehistory
Hentzo, in myth, was founded to combat the tyranny and pressures of sedentary states on their way of life, headed by the first Pirate Lord, S’iinggw the Shipwrecker. They formed the first council of fleets and wrote the original Pirate Code, which the government of Rutinde claims to still adhere to.
February 2024
Henzto was founded on the 8th of February 2024, on top of a former rail line used by the City of Phoeŋix to reach the Slab Exchange. Initially, the founders were curious of the rail line and travelled west along its course, before stumbling into Phoeŋix to find it abandoned and empty. They left without any incident, but noted it resembled Phoenix, the real life residence of Agma Schwa.
The Ŋation was admitted to the UŊ on the day of founding in a unanimous motion, and has since been a highly active member of the organisation.
March 2024
On the 3rd of March, the state of Hentzo S.S. was delineated in a request to the Office of Cartography, marking the first expansion of Hentzo's Borders
In Late March 2024, a Cenrail link was finally established with the Pirate Lair, bringing Hentzo into contact with much of the known world in a full capacity.
April 2024
On the 2nd of April, Aventurine was made the Officer for Environmental Protections with 5 votes to 4 against Hummus of Hummland and quickly went about collating a seed vault in the case of extinction
The town of Nóreesánünnéqèqèhooqàmo was formally added to the country on the 12th of April as the state of Noreesa alongside the surrounding countryside.
May 2024
At the onset of the month, the Northwest Economic Union was founded with Hentzo alongside Dhourigkàn, Tantsang and Zotazil. Very rapidly, the NWEU encountered issues as their chosen currency, the Hüte, crashed into irrelevance. On the 4th, the Office of Monetary Affairs issued an emergency announcement that halved the backing value of copper from 1:160 to 1:320, meaning that the Hüte also halved in value. Two days later, the office issued a further announcement that the backing value of copper (after a survey) had halved once more to 1:640. This sent the Hüte into freefall.
On the 17th of May, the Office of Enviromental Protections' role was expanded to include the Reserves System, which was taken advantage of immediately to preserve the great deserts of Ŋəri2na from exploitation
June 2024
On the 10th of June, Yoshi Island was annexed by the Pirate Republic of Hentzo, and formed into the state of Pámù. This came about from the Bramusia Incident and the Pirate Lord's intervention in the region.
After much effort, the Kang was finally minted on the 16th of June, being cosigned by JJ of Tantsang
July 2024
During the Age of Imperialism, Hentzo created Kiyatzenha Teekonkáápanün along the Great Sea, which reaches all the way to the Kyawcenni Border. The Pirate Lord intended to use this fertile land as a source of income from newer players, in exchange for guaranteeing liberties and protections. Unfortunately, before that could happen, Rutinde I died.
Governance
Hentzo claims to be a republic, but in recent years the government of the Natzazaa fleet has brought questions of legitimacy in the democratic and fair values of S’iinggw the Shipwrecker that they laid out in the Pirate Republic's first and so far only Contract. Currently Rutinde's fleet has 272 representatives in the 300-seat Council of Fleets, where citizens vote for fleets based on merit and skill, but all 30 fleets are to be represented in a parliament no matter what.
