The Coldban Menace
The Coldban Menace (Śácamþaśá: trIgni npAlqo Qáwpan Niŋret) is a conspiratorial political theory in Þunan Qumreá and Maraśa, which portrays Coldba and its allies (in particular Realm of Madness) as an agent of evil whose sole aim is to undermine civilisation.
Origin
Coldba has been a geopolitical rival critical of Þunan Qumreá since the latter‘s conquest of Ŋájaþáw, which had originally been the base of janvs, one of Coldba‘s citizens. It was thus harshly critical of Þunan Qumreań Colonial Policy, and its settlement of the area in general. This led to Coldba and its allies proposing UŊ Motions, as well as openly criticising the colonial regime.
However, the theory did not fully come into being until Coup Sabah, when the two nations found themselves in a proxy war over Xarslasja, one of Þunan Qumreá‘s neighbours. Geopolitical opposition combined with the actions of the Realm of Madness in Xarslasja and the religious belief of the Śácamþań that the evil spirit Wáw wishes to freeze the earth to kill civilisation to form the conspiracy.
Modern Times
In recent times, the dissolution of Þunan Qumreá and following the Sack of Ŋájaþáw has made the theory the default geopolitical world view among the Śácamþań. The theory has mutated, now proposing that the dissolution of the Realm of Madness was a ruse to distract Śácamþań from the ongoing infiltration of their homeland to create a new land of chaos in Thasusa.
Depiction
The theory is tightly intertwined with Śácamþań religion: generally, Coldba is depicted as the evil spirit Wáw, aiming to freeze the earth and kill all life, while Realm of Madness is depicted as Jiwe, the evil spirit of conspiracy who aims to infiltrate civilisation and destroy it from within.
