The Nguhrovision Song Contest 2024 was a ŋorldwide singing competition in November 2024 where different artists compete for different ŋations. It took place in the Pfoas Arena in Pfoas, Amuj. The participating countries were Coldba (Cuba), Enkavak, Fishland, Hummland, the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen, Nāroňpār, the Realm of Madness, Stej Ven, Tanylezi, Xarslasja and Xtrakva.

After Kyaw Cen's victory in the contest, Parkow will host the contest the following year.

Location

The City State of Amuj was originally chosen to host the contest in its newly built Pfoas Arena, as it was built the fastest and for this purpose.

The choice of the country turned out to be a bit unlucky, since its government dissolved less than a month before the contest. The new government of Amuj led by the Kingdom of Kyaw Cen, however, planned on hosting the contest as usual.

Dhourigkàn

Dhourigkàn originally planned on participating, but later withdrew for unknown reasons.

Hentzo

Hentzo originally planned on participating as well, but due to the unprecedented death of their leader, Rutinde I, their participation has been suspended.

Imerchal

Imerchal initially announced its participation, but later opted out due to their terrible school culture there or something. Imerchal was still considering its participation, but hasn't been a confirmed participant. After that, It re-announced its participation only to withdraw again due to Annwan realizing they apparently can't sing.

Kozdenen

Kozdenen initially announced its participation, but later withdrew because pleb forgot about it 💀

North Amuj

North Amuj initially announced its participation as The City State of Amuj with Iris' song Time to be, but the dissolution of the country on 08 October 2024 made the country withdraw.

South Amuj

South Amuj initially announced its participation with Ian's song Creepy Crawlies, but the dissolution of the country on 08 October 2024 made the country withdraw.

Þunan Qumreá

Þunan Qumreá initially announced its participation, but later withdrew due to undisclosed reasons.

The rehearsal of the contest took place on 26 October 2024, 7pm GMT. Before the rehearsal, the running order for both the rehearsal and the final was determined by the participants destroying one of originally eleven pots with a book saying their number in the running order. Marcy Sheikah, being both a contestant and the executive supervisor, took the last pot because they had organized it. Every participant except for Carl "Octothorpe" Cafaceu, PhD for Tanylezi and Fin for Coldba (Cuba) were present. Following the rehearsal, executive supervisor stated that “the rehearsal went surprisingly smoothly”.

Contest

The contest took place on 02 November 2024 at 8pm UTC, with Kyaw Cen winning the contest after a tiebreaker with Enkavak.

Voting

The voting will consist of the combined votes of the juries of the participating countries and additional registered countries and a public vote consisting of people who are not members of any jury, which will be weighed the same as one jury.

The non-participating countries participating in the jury voting were set to be East Pua, Ettêre Ðiffyt, the Free City of Imerchal, Oressia, Shudrow and Þunan Qumreá, who have previously registered to participate in the jury voting. East Pua, Ettêre Ðiffyt and Shudrow were absent during the contest and therefore not eligible to vote.

The order of the jury vote follows the running order of the participants, followed by the non-participating country juries, which are ordered alphabetically.

At the end of the voting, Enkavak and Kyaw Cen have ended up with the same number of points, but due to the latter having received 12 points from more countries than Enkavak, Kyaw Cen ended up winning the contest with 77 points.

Additional rules

Rule 1

Rewarding people for voting for a song in the jury or public vote is forbidden. This includes giving out money as well as other goods or favors or other services such as giving citizenship in exchange for votes. Violators of this rule may be blacklisted from future participation

Pressuring people to vote a certain way, (e.g. a country telling its citizens to give the highest vote to its entry) is strictly prohibited. Violators of this rule may be blacklisted from future participation. This can range from a single individual to an entire country.

Advertising an entry in any way is prohibited. Violators will be given a warning.

Failure to vote correctly in the allotted time will result in the cancellation of your vote. You will only be able to vote once.

Rule 2

No jury voter or participant should be able to vote for the country they are representing.

Rule 3

No participant or member of a jury can represent multiple countries at the contest. A participant is not allowed to represent a different country's jury than the country they are representing as a participant.
